You Can't Spell "Summer in the South" without H.U.M.I.D.I.T.Y.

After a brief rain shower this evening, the air is thick enough to cut with a knife. Ack. I think I'll wait to ride until the morning!

That's not mist or fog.....it is just hot, wet air. Looks like summer in
Tennessee to me!

It's the main reason I won't visit my family in New Jersey in the summer... great picture!

Suzanne, it's like going outside and then putting on a heavy fur coat. This is why my horses sweat just standing in the barn these days! :-)

GA is even worse! I was cleaning stalls at 5:00 this morning, and the air was so thick and humid I felt like I couldn't breathe:( Blech, I HATE summer!

Jen, I don't envy you the GA heat this time of year! But, remember, we in Knoxville don't just have heat and humidity....we also have horrible, horrible air quality (second worst only to Los Angeles!). I think I'd take your weather over mine any day!!! Let's hope we get a nice windy storm front to blow this on through soon. In the meantime, stay cool and hang in there!

On second thought, maybe I just need to find a nice, air conditioned indoor where I can ride in crisp, clean air all day long. That would be the ticket. :-)
